Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

@Neon throws another hissy fit....

@Neon is at it again... Another hissy fit about my blog.  Really?  Guess what? Call me names, throw a tantrum, make demands, etc.  BFD...   It's my blog and I control the shots.

In order to get @Neon to calm down and hopefully shut his piehole, here is the latest rant from @Neon:

"I don’t mind that Mr. “Hoofa” doesn’t post my comments because he won’t publish any comments that are critical of his blog—period. I am not frustrated about this because I already know he won’t post my comments—I just want him to read them. If you feel inclined, I urge you to ask him to publish the comments I’ve left on his blog, because there’s some valid questions he needs to answer.

His most recent posts states:
 “…my blog is really not meant to be taken all that seriously.  I just take photos of what I see and add commentary.  It really is meant to be taken with a sense of humor…”

His statement is pure asinine horseshit.

A sense of humor is not berating Asian dealers and their speech, nor is it berating the gay lifestyle, tourists, certain football fans (and the cars they drive) and old people who are on oxygen. And really (REALLY?) these very same people are the ones that keep him (a supposedly bad-tipping professional gambler) in business. Until his latest post, he’s never stated that his writing “is not meant to be taken all that seriously.”

Mr. Hoofa needs to step-back and re-read his posts. His own anonymity (how many of you actually know him?) proves he knows he’s a bigot, borderline racist, and all-around douche.

And yes Jimmy, I’m more than happy to “waste 5 minutes” writing about your blog. I just may waste a whole day—depending on your future posts."

  1. The guy is seriously deluded. I think he needs to get over whatever it is that has him in a tizzy. It's actually kind of fun laughing at a guy like that.

  2. JH, this is no lie. Neon will love this. Besides the gay couple to my right, a very nice Asian moved in to my left, as a horseplayer from California skipped out on his rent. He told me his Breeders’ Cup nags “ran out of the money”, so I should just keep my trap shut. This Asian showed up in a dented, faded Civic with 2 donut tires on his car and a right driver’s window that has never been rolled up since (no rear plate, to boot). He now relies on a bike chained to his doorknob. I met him after he fell asleep for several nights with the TV blaring and I had to tell him to turn the damn thing off. He’s a chain smoker and he kept telling me, “You go to our casino on Flamingo, you go to there for good food”. So, I ventured over "there" today. The place is full of Chinese (I think) and just about every restaurant is based on noodles, seaweed or some form of algae. Hundreds of Asians play at the mostly baccarat tables and I swear everyone of them had one lit cigarette in an ashtray and one in their mouth. They were wearing drooping pants, had oily hair, most needed a shave, and they were coughing up flem. And these were just the Asian women. The pits are encased in a fog and every player is recording the cards that are played on a tobacco stained notepad. They all speak Chinese and as one dealer wrote in the RJ online edition, the mainland guys blow their noses into their hands and they like to spit on the floor. Thank goodness, I didn’t witness this, but I threw my shoes into the garbage can as I left and drove home barefooted.

  4. What is Jay talking about. I do not drink nor do I take drugs. I was a former LV resident for 15 years and go back every year. I'm amazed what has happened to my town. Now it is full of Asians, Mexicans, and the homeless, "not that there is anything wrong with that". In fact, when I go back, I spend my time volunteering to help the disadvantaged. I read where locals are in the last place in America when it come to volunteering. I bet Jay is that category. This is another sign how the town has gone to hell since I left.
