Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Las Vegas Car of the Week #24

Not sure what brand/model this pick up is, but it sure has a "flashy" paint job...  I would comment on the ethnicity of the driver, but then @Neon would have another hissy fit...  Hint:  "Norteno" music was blasting out from the cab...

  1. now that's a sweet ride...ha habla espanol?

  2. I have no idea what a Norteno is but if it was blasting that is a bad sign.

  3. Norteno is that Spanish cowboy music that some Mexicans like to blast while driving around in their pick up trucks. Here's a good description:

Its origins are with the corrido ballads that are sung along the US-Mexico border. This music style contains a hybridization of many other styles: waltz, polka, mazurka, cumbia, tejano, country music, vallenato, etc. There is no single norteño music form, but there are probably as many styles as there are artists. The popularity of norteño music may be due to the lyrics, which is typically a story about 'common' people, such as illegal immigrants, small-time drug dealers (narcotraficantes) , jilted lovers, corrupt public officials, etc.
