Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Guess the Las Vegas Casino #5

This trash can is located in a LV Strip casino parking garage -- This is not a downtown parking garage.  I understand that this is a trash can -- but it looks like it has not been cleaned or hosed off since the 1980's.  Mind you this is a major LV Strip hotel.  It has the "reputation" of being nice place, but in reality the entire hotel is a dump.  Hint:  This trash can is not located at the Imperial Palace garage.

  1. I'm gonna guess one of the Harrah's properties - Caesar's?

  4. Is it Treasure Island? Because that sure is a dump.

  5. @anonymous is correct. It's the Flamingo. Every inch of that hotel is filthy and falling apart. Loveman and pals are just running the place into the ground. Disgusting... How far the mighty have fallen...

  6. Flamingo is the worst place I've stayed on the strip at least Casino Royale is fun to gamble at and has cheap drinks

  7. >how far the mighty have fallen ...
    Loveman and cronies ain't fallen.

The Flaming O needs a bath but its the stockholders who will be getting one.

Oh... and WHY did this Nikki Beach Club ever choose the Flaming O/Pink Chicken place?

  8. Try playing the machines at the Bugsy Bar the bottons are sticky from spilled booze and super slow service from the one unmotivated bartender. Hour long check in line during the week.

  9. I have stayed in nearly every place on the strip, but somehow a stay at the Flamingo fell through the cracks for me. I mean, I have stayed at the Barbary Coast and Westward Ho.

So we stayed at the Flaming for the first time last year. I was pretty bummed out about it. We had to fight some van trying to squeeze its too-tall butt into the parking garage, followed by a huge wait on a Sunday afternoon.

The pool was great. And we had fun playing/drinking at O'Shea's, but I am not sure I will ever stay there again.

  10. But they have those GO rooms don't they? Was that an investment in renovated rooms when soap and water was what was needed?
Or is the Flaming O crowd averse to soap and water?

  11. Probably averse - I had a GO room for march madness last year and the only redeeming quality about it was the view of the bellagio fountains

  12. I am going to do a full blown photo essay on bad the Flamingo is, starting with the parking garage and working my way through the hotel. Talk about letting a place fall to pieces... Caesar's Ent. should be ashamed to market the joint like it's some nice place. DUMP!!!

I challenge Gary Loveman to walk that property and see if the condition of the Flamingo is acceptable...

  13. Its an asset to be merged, mixed and whipped into adjectives and new or renamed corporate entities. What does soap and water or paint have to do with wall street?

  14. Perhaps you will be able to obtain the rights to include a photo of the blood smeared towel a guest recently found neatly hanging on the rack when they checked into the Flamingo?
