Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Labor Day on the Las Vegas Strip

After playing in a poker tournament, I headed out to the Strip to take a few photos.  It was not as crowded as I thought it would be -- I guess today many people headed back home after the long weekend.

Random coincidence -- all the dudes in this group had shaved heads or were bald.

Another water seller.  This guy is operating out of a storage box.  Come on now.  If you are going to sell water at least have an ice chest or insulated container.  The "King of Water Sellers" would crush this guy.

This guy stands completely motionless in the hot sun and gets tips from people taking photos with him. Very impressive.  I watched him for a few minutes and he was completely still.

This rather muscular fellow was just standing on a wall and flexing his muscles.  I am not sure if he's a water seller or poses for pictures with tourists.  Every time a bus stopped in front of him he would put on a flexing show.  I have no idea if that chain is real gold.

This crew did not get the memo that before walking out on the Strip, they need to each get a "test tube" drink.  Hopefully they did not just get pillaged in that 6/5 "tit pit" at the Flamingo.

A guy begging for money on the bridge over the Strip at Flamingo.  I gave him a quarter.  I thought his sign was quite amusing.  At least he was being honest what he would use the money for.

Another water seller.  She sells on the same bridge as was taken in the previous photo.  At least she's got a cooler.  Bellagio Hotel in the background.

Wearing these shorts is just plain wrong.  I am sure this guy meant no harm, but come on now.

Another water seller.  Very creative how he uses a trash can which can be wheeled around.  Not sure he can compete with the "King" but he does have capacity and mobility.  His location was under the bridge that crosses the Strip over to Caesar's.  Not that much foot traffic in this area.
