Hoofa's Visitors...

Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Smokers Welcome...

Las Vegas is nirvana if you are a smoker.  Not only are your fellow smokers everywhere puffing away, but most if not all bars and casinos are smoker "friendly."  Only in the past few years has there been some effort to restrict smoking in restaurants, convenience stores, etc.  Personally, I find smoking to be a disgusting habit but I also understand that people have the right to make certain choices and do what they want with their lives.  I will admit that I would like to see casinos do more to restrict or ban smoking, but that's a whole other issue.

Below is a photo of a bar called Zodie's located on Flamingo.  I love the "Smokers Welcome" sign out front.  Only in Las Vegas would you see a sign like this!  At least the owner of this place is letting the world know what's going on inside the place in terms of smoking.  As a non-smoker, that sign lets me know that this is a place I might want to stay away from...

Update 8/2/2010

In addition to "smokers welcome" at Zodies, they apparently welcome other types of "activity" also!  This is the description of Zodie's from a website that rates and describes LV Bars:

A new age multi-lifestyle bar welcoming all tastes- gay, bi, straight, transgender, swingers, etc. Open 24/7, drink specials every night, food, video poker, music and more.
