Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Pool Review -- Silverton

Pool: Silverton -- Off LV Strip.

Access: Walk right in, no room key check. Towels required a room key.

Rating: 3 out 10.

Silverton Hotel has a very small pool and pool area.   The pool and hot tub are similar to what one would find at a typical Motel 6 across the country.  The hot tub is so small it appeared that no more than 4-5 people could it enjoy it.   When I went to their pool there was maybe 20 people at the pool area (on a Sunday).  There was no music being played and no drink service from what I could tell.   This pool makes the South Point pool look like the MGM Grand Pool in comparison.

The pool deck has no shade for the most part.  The hotel is in front of the pool, but because the Silverton is not very tall, the building does not provide any shade until the sun is close to setting.  So prepare to be blasted by the sun for most of the day if you decide to hang out at this pool.

This pool does provide an advantage to families with small children.  The pool area and pool is so small that it is very easy to keep an eye on your children.  There is no need to be hyper vigilant or worry about your children wandering off at this pool -- there is no where for them to go.

The Silverton Pool is rated a 3 out of 10.  It has 7 points taken off for being too small and perhaps one of the most boring pools in all of LV.
